val\amt raise made issue (bug???)

Postby warrior04 » Fri Mar 29, 2013 7:43 pm

I'm experimenting a bit with opponents 3bet amount in PF.
I think i found a bug and would like to verify it with you

i'v rebuild one of my queries in SQL form so it easier to examine
Code: Select all
SELECT val_p_raise_made_2_pct, amt_p_raise_made_2,val_p_raise_made_pct, amt_p_raise_made
FROM
   (SELECT * FROM
      holdem_hand_player_statistics as PS
      JOIN holdem_hand_player_detail as PD
      ON PD.id_player = PS.id_player AND PS.id_hand = PD.id_hand
ORDER BY PS.id_hand DESC) as ans
WHERE flg_p_3bet
limit 500
:

because i'm looking for 3bet info i would expect "val/amt raise made 2" to be greater then 0 and "val/amt raise made" to be 0 (a player cannot raise and also 3bet).
from my results most "val/amt raise made 2" are 0 (the one that are not are probably 4bet), while "val/amt raise made" have values of 3bet in them.

trying to replace flg_p_3bet with flg_p_4bet and the results make sense
(I also played a bit with different positions and it doesn't change the problem)

my conclusion is that 3bet in PF have been placed in the wrong place ("val/amt raise made" instead "val/amt raise made 2" )

P.S

amt_p_raise_made is the first raise made, and amt_p_raise_made_2 is the last.
As you say, you can't raise and then 3bet, so a 3bet will always be stored in amt_p_raise_made. You can't have amt_p_raise_made = 0 and amt_p_raise_made > 0.

well so the problem is in the "PokerTracker3_PostgreSQL_Database_Schema" manual.

amt_p_raise_made numeric Amount raised pre-flop.
val_p_raise_made_pct numeric If this player raised pre-flop, this is the percentage of the pot the raise was (the pot
value not including their raise).
amt_p_raise_made_2 numeric Amount this player 3 or 4 bet pre-flop.
val_p_raise_made_2_pct numeric Percentage of pot this player 3 or 4 bet pre-flop.

Yes, that's not strictly correct - I'll mention this to the person in charge.

one more clarification please...

in higher streets we get also
amt_f_bet_made
val_f_bet_made_pct

what are the correct definition for those stats?

if my logic is right, amt_f_bet_made will contain the amount of the bet if the player opened the betting round...
but it will not be considered as "first raised" and therefore will not be placed in amt_p_raise_made.

so again if a player 3bet it will be marked as amt_f_raise_made. (meaning amt_p_raise_made will always contain 'real game' 2bet or 3bet)
and amt_f_raise_made_2 will only mark 4bet+

is this logic correct? or can i find 3bet in amt_f_raise_made_2 in some cases?
