Enabled Memory Grabber

Postby pat3392 » Mon Mar 14, 2011 5:04 am

..... And now everytime I start auto-import Poker Tracker asks for a password, which is kinda annoying. Is there anyway I can stop this

Disabling the Memory Grabber will remove that password prompt - but the password is requested from OS X due to the permissions required to run the Memory Grabber process, and it can't be disabled.

For some reason when I press the cancel button it still imports observed hands, what's up with that? Reason I ask is because I have a script which the password prompt complicates

That's odd - I'm surprised it's capable of doing that. I'll ask the development team for some more information on this and get back to you.

Our lead Mac developer hasn't been around for a few days so I suspect that Kraada will not have had an update yet, but he's off today so I expect he'll update you tomorrow either way.

I haven't had a chance to speak to our lead Mac developer on this issue yet, when I do I will update this thread for you.

Disabling the memory grabber will get rid of this prompt.

Perhaps I have a unrealistic idea, but I want to be able to run my script and have the memory enabler activated. My script cannot type my system admin password into the prompt.

I've double checked to confirm; denying access to the first privileged request doesn't seem to effect the importing process. However, at apparent random intervals a second prompt asks for root access and if I deny this one, PT3 cannot recognise the tables and hence, no importing occurs.

I really want to set this up. If all else fails I'll just make myself a root user, but I'd prefer to not do this. If nothing else is possible, has any one else run PT3 under root access and reported any issues? Can you conceive anyway PT3 could somehow delete my hard drive or something else nasty by doing this?
