Average Opening Amount?

I was wondering if there was a way to display the average opening bet size for a particular player on the HUD (preferably by table position and as a value expressed in number of big-blinds)?

If not, is it possible this feature will be added in the future? As a micro-stakes player, I am often surprised by how often people vary their bet-sizing based on hand strength, and having this kind of information readily available would be very useful indeed. It would also help in spotting folks who are habitually min-rasing and such, which again, occurs a surprising number of times at micro-stakes.

Yes, you can do this with a custom stat.

You will need a new column like this:

amt_p_open_raise_ttl_bb =
sum( if[holdem_hand_player_statistics.flg_p_first_raise AND holdem_hand_player_statistics.flg_p_open, (holdem_hand_player_detail.amt_p_raise_made / holdem_limit.amt_bb), 0])

cnt_p_raise_first_in is a built-in column.

Then your new stats' Value Expression is:

(amt_p_open_raise_ttl_bb / cnt_p_raise_first_in )

I just had another thought.
It would be better to ignore limit hands for this stat, so you might want to include:
holdem_limit.flg_nlpl AND
..in your columns too.

So amt_p_open_raise_ttl_bb becomes:

sum( if[ holdem_limit.flg_nlpl AND holdem_hand_player_statistics.flg_p_first_raise AND holdem_hand_player_statistics.flg_p_open, (holdem_hand_player_detail.amt_p_raise_made / holdem_limit.amt_bb), 0])

..and cnt_p_raise_first_in_nlpl becomes:

sum( if[ holdem_limit.flg_nlpl AND holdem_hand_player_statistics.flg_p_first_raise AND holdem_hand_player_statistics.flg_p_open_opp, 1, 0])

To see any stat by position (EP, MP, LP, blinds) you can use the Position Statistic Property in the HUD.
If you want to see it by individual positions then you will need to create custom stats for each position by adding:
holdem_hand_player_statistics.position=0
..to a column expression to check for the button for instance.
0 is the button, 1 is the cutoff, etc. 9 is always the big blind and 8 the small blind regardless of table size.

i created a custom stat for Average Opening Amount (expressed in bb's) exactly like you did in your last post.
everything is fine.
the stat values are correct in pt3 for me (eg: 2.9) and for every other player in db (eg: 3.29, ...)

BUT when i display this stat in my HUD at rush tables (i only play rush tables) the values are wrong (eg: 13.6, 38.5. etc...)
also the coloring of this stat is messed up in HUD: all the time green color is used, and very rare if value is 0 (zero) the color is red
i mention that i specified normal coloring (white foreground on black background) and no other color ranges in my HUD for this stat

here is a screenshot of the table where you can see these abnormal values for this stat (see red arrows)

i look up certain player in DB and as i said in PT3 values are correct but for same players in HUD numbers are way too big
however in PT3 hand replayer the values displayed by HUD for this stat seems correct

can you please help me with this?

PokerTrackerHud.log is empty (0 bytes)
PokerTracker.log does not contain any error.

Could you please report this problem and include an exported copy of your statistic so that we can investigate further?

i just imported and use 'RFI Average Size (BB)' from http://www.pokertracker.com/repository/statistics.php

it works fine (even in HUD at rush)!

Any stat that works in the normal HUD should work in the Rush HUD equally.

What is wrong with this expression because is not valid :

sum(if[holdem_hand_player_statistics.flg_f_cbet, if[ holdem_hand_player_detail.val_f_bet_made_pct BETWEEN 65 and 85 , 1, 0]0])

I want to get a number of times how many player cbet flop between 65 and 85% pot ?

You have a missing comma before the final zero:

sum(if[holdem_hand_player_statistics.flg_f_cbet, if[ holdem_hand_player_detail.val_f_bet_made_pct BETWEEN 65 and 85 , 1, 0], 0])

However, you can simplify your expression to this:

sum(if[holdem_hand_player_statistics.flg_f_cbet AND holdem_hand_player_detail.val_f_bet_made_pct BETWEEN 65 and 85, 1, 0] )
